Privacy

Your screenshots stay on your computer. Annotate8 captures, edits and saves images locally. It
does not upload them, and we never receive, store or look at them.
What the app sends
The app talks to us only to link your computer to your account and check whether Pro is active: when
it starts, when you return to it, and about every six hours. It sends no analytics, usage tracking,
crash reports or screen contents. If you use only the free
features and never link an account, the app has nothing to send.
What we keep
- Your account: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google.
- Your subscription status. Polar, which sells the subscription, holds your payment details. We
never see your card.
- For each linked computer: a label made from the computer's name and operating system (so you can
tell your devices apart; a computer's name sometimes includes your own), a scrambled one-way copy of
its access token, and when it was linked, last checked in and unlinked.
As with any online service, our servers see your IP address when you connect.
This website
The sign-in, link and account pages keep your sign-in session in your browser's local storage. That is required to keep you signed in, and it is not used
for advertising or tracking.
Who helps us run it
Supabase (accounts and database), Polar (payments, as the seller of record), Vercel (website hosting),
and Google (sign-in, only if you choose it). We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use
advertising trackers.
Your choices
Unlink a computer any time in the app under Settings › Account. To see, export, correct or delete
your account data, write to privacy@constellation32.com.
